Well, my subscription died, so no more pretty journal, but anyways. rather than taking Peanut to the Humane Society, we called a nearby rescue; The Pitt Stop. They started their rescue years ago and just took in Pitties, but our Humane society apparently tried closing him down because I guess he had 9 Pit Bulls/Pit Bull mixes at once, and one was rescued from fighting, so they tried shutting him down for Dog Fighting, but he said he let them search all of his property and found absolutely no proof that he has ever fought a dog.

So he said a while after that him and his wife started taking in other breeds so they'd be left alone. I actually met a few. xD; When I brought Peanut up he actually said she was probably the sweetest dog he;d had brought in there in a while. But anyways, I met a new addition to their rescue, Dakota, a purebred GSD, and hooooly crap I forgot how big they are! I haven't seen one in SO long! xD But anyways, she was gorgeous, but so sneaky! lol After that we tried determining what Peanuts breed was, He said she looks like a Corgi mixed with either Aussie or Border Collie, as well as some Blue Heeler or Cattle Dog. He said they get a lot of cattle dogs there so he sees some traits in her that look familiar.

After that he had me carry her around to their backyard to let her roam their 2 acre fenced in yard so she could get used to her new home for some time. In his backyard they have a huge Kennel, and staying in it was the most BEAUTIUL Cane Corso. He was 6 years old, I don't remember his name but omg he was a cutie<3 And then, next to the kennel on a lead was the cutest little Pit Bull/Am Bulldog mix given the name, Chubs! I was walking Peanut around the year, and the guy actually called over to me and told me to let Chubs off the leash, and amazingly, in minutes him and Peanut were playing with eachother until he got a little too close and she snapped at him, and he immediately backed off, but he was adorable<3 I had fun though xD; Got to run around the yard with Peanut and Chubs for about half an hour which was pretty interesting. They were both allll over the place!

One thing though, that he thought was strange, was that Peanuts claws were trimmed and her ears were clean, but she had signs of having been in fights with animals like racoons, some of her teeth were broken and one is rotten, she also had HUGE balls of matted fur holding her ears down, and fur growing out from between her toes. So he said either someone else took her in and cleaned her up and she ran off? Or whoever owned her took crappy care of her. He told me and my mom he wished we werent moving 'cause he'd love the help around there. He told us that most people he has volunteer show fear around the dogs, bit when he was spraying peanut down to get all the bugs off of her, I was holding her as tight as I could so she wouldnt run off, and when I went in the backyard, without a second thoguht I went right up to Chubs and starting playing with him. Apparently because of the fact that a lot of the dogs that come to them are Pit Bulls, no one ones to help them out, which I think is duuumb. I told him if I ever came back on the weekend I'd gladly help out! Right now they have 2 litters of puppies, one litter is weaned and the other was brought in the morning, a Pit mix mom and her 4 pups. She was brought in after attacking the owners son for coming to close to her pups. And he's getting more puppies tomorrow! Whoo! xD But anyways, it was a fun day so I just thought I'd tell you guys about my fun evening xP;

AND! He said once Peanuts all fixed up and ready for adoption next month, he think's she'll go real fast 'cause she is SUCH a sweetie<3
